Shunyata Research Sigma-X XC Power Cable | Power Distributor Cable

Sale price$4,000.00

Shunyata Research Sigma-X XC is the Sigma-X power cable designed specifically for the wall-to-power-distributor connection. It uses 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, dual TAPc polarizers, CopperCONN connectors, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, and KPIP v2 processing.

Unlike Sigma-X QR and NR, XC has no onboard noise-reduction filter. Shunyata primarily recommends it for feeding its power distributors, where the distributor itself provides extensive filtering.

Who is Sigma-X XC best suited for?
Systems using a Shunyata power distributor where the cable runs from the wall receptacle to the distributor.

Sigma-X XC vs. NR
XC has no onboard noise-reduction filter because Shunyata designs it primarily to feed its power distributors. NR includes Gen3 noise reduction and is intended for component use or situations where onboard filtering is beneficial.

Technology
Sigma-X XC is purpose-built for the wall-to-power-distributor connection and uses Shunyata technologies for electromagnetic control, conductor geometry, connector integrity, dielectric performance, and conductor conditioning. It specifically uses dual TAPc polarizers, 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, CopperCONN connectors, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, and KPIP v2 processing. XC has no onboard NR filter.

Shunyata Research TAPc technology
TAPc
Patent-pending Transverse Axial Polarizer technology couples to the electromagnetic fields surrounding conductors and is designed to reduce electromagnetic distortion. Sigma-X XC uses two TAPc polarizers.

Shunyata Research VTX-Ag conductors
VTX-Ag
VTX-Ag geometry combines a pure-silver center conductor with a concentric pure-copper outer conductor. Sigma-X XC uses this architecture in a 6-gauge configuration.

Shunyata Research CopperCONN connectors
CopperCONN
Sigma-X XC uses Shunyata CopperCONN AC and IEC connectors with carbon-fiber bodies.

Shunyata Research fluorocarbon dielectric
Fluorocarbon
Fluorocarbon dielectric material is selected for low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength, and heat resistance.

Shunyata Research KPIP v2 technology
KPIP v2
Shunyata Research's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process is applied to conductor and terminal metals. Sigma-X XC receives four days of KPIP v2 processing.
