DAC Upgrade Paths
Current and legacy MSB DAC owners may qualify for upgrades to:
- Palisade DAC
- Cascade DAC
- Sentinel DAC
Eligible products may include:
- Discrete DAC
- Premier DAC
- Reference DAC
- Select DAC
- Cascade DAC
- Other qualifying legacy MSB DACs
Important: MSB DACs may only be traded toward new MSB DACs.
Amplifier Upgrade Paths
MSB amplifier owners may qualify for upgrades to:
- M205 Monoblocks
- S500 Stereo Amplifier
- M500 Monoblocks
Eligible products may include:
- S202 Stereo Amplifier
- S500 Stereo Amplifier
- M205 Monoblocks
Important: MSB amplifiers may only be traded toward new MSB amplifiers.
How Trade-In Values Are Determined
Each trade-in is evaluated individually based on:
- Model and generation
- Age
- Physical condition
- Operational status
- Installed options and modules
- Desired replacement product
Because every system is unique, trade-in values are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Many current-generation and legacy MSB products may qualify for trade-in consideration.
What Qualifies as Good Condition?
Products in good condition typically show normal wear associated with use in a dedicated listening room or home environment.
Examples may include:
- Minor cosmetic blemishes
- Light scratches
- Small signs of normal use
Products should be fully operational with no known electrical faults.
Equipment exhibiting significant abuse, water damage, fire damage, severe cosmetic damage, or operational issues may receive reduced trade-in consideration.

When compatible, existing accessories and options may be transferred to your new component, including:

- Remote controls

MSB will evaluate transferable components during the upgrade process.
