Norse Audio
Norse Audio is the work of Michael Bladelius, one of the most respected amplifier designers in high-end audio, even if his name is less familiar than the brands he has designed for. Bladelius began building electronics as a teenager in Sweden and went on to work for Nelson Pass and then Threshold, where he designed the T-series amplifiers. He later created circuits for Classé and Ultra Analog, then joined Primare, where his Pre30 preamplifier and the 10, 20 and 30 series defined the brand's modern sound. In 1997 he founded Bladelius in Alingsås, Sweden. Its flagship amplifiers, named after figures from Norse mythology such as Oden and Thor, are hand-built and widely praised by European reviewers.
Norse Audio brings that same designer and decades of experience to a more approachable level. The X1 amplifier, X2 preamplifier and X5 power supply are designed by Bladelius and built in Sweden, following the same design thinking as his flagship work. It's trickle-down in the truest sense: not a cost-cut copy of someone else's idea, but the original designer applying what he knows at a price more listeners can reach.
