A rear-panel switch allows one X1 to deliver 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, while adding a second X1 enables a dual-mono system capable of 200 watts into 8 ohms and 390 watts into 4 ohms.

DESIGNED AROUN THE PHILOSOPHY OF "SIMPLER IS BETTER"

The X1 follows a straightforward engineering philosophy: eliminate unnecessary circuitry and keep the signal path as short and direct as possible.

At its core, the amplifier uses a single voltage amplifier stage, reducing the number of active stages through which the audio signal must travel. The design is fully balanced and operates without a ground reference, while a high-performance DC servo works outside the signal path to maintain stability without interfering with the music.

The result is an amplifier designed for exceptionally fast, clean, and stable signal reproduction.

HAND MATCHED JFET INPUT STAGE

The X1's input stage uses hand-matched, current-loaded JFETs arranged in a foldback cascade configuration.

This topology is engineered to maintain highly linear operation across the amplifier's output range, helping preserve transparency and consistency whether the amplifier is reproducing delicate low-level information or demanding dynamic peaks.

ADJUSTABLE BIAS: TWO WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE X1

A rear-panel bias switch allows the listener to select between Normal Bias and Low Bias operation.

NORMAL BIAS

Normal Bias increases the amplifier's Class A operating region, producing a warmer and richer presentation with excellent linearity.

LOW BIAS

Low Bias prioritizes efficiency while retaining the X1's high-performance amplifier architecture, making it particularly suitable for extended listening or less demanding applications.
