A Monumental Three-Chassis Design

The Sentinel DAC system is built around a three-chassis architecture, each component purpose-built for optimal performance and synergy:

Digital Director

Handles all digital processing and user interaction. Equipped with a large, intuitive display and customizable input modules, it outputs a conversion-ready signal via fully isolated fiber optic Sentinel-Link to the Analog Converter, ensuring complete electrical isolation between digital and analog domains. 

Analog Converter

Houses 32 Hybrid DAC MKII modules in a Dual Mono configuration—16 per channel—paired with the Sentinel Clock and an analog preamplifier. This design eliminates digital interference and focuses solely on meticulous analog conversion for breathtaking realism. 

Power Supply

Features three independent ultra-low-noise modules: two dedicated to the left and right Mono DACs and one exclusively for the Sentinel Clock. Six custom-wound shielded toroidal transformers ensure pristine power delivery.

32 Hybrid DAC MKII Modules

Quadrupling previous designs from 8 to 32 modules dramatically increases signal accuracy, dynamic range, and stereo imaging. Each channel operates independently for perfect channel separation. 

Bit Diffusion Technology (BDT)

Proprietary MSB innovation that distributes digital artifacts and background noise across all DAC channels, creating a holographic soundstage, fatigue-free listening, and analog-like musicality. 

Sentinel Clock

Developed with a crystal wafer manufacturer, this custom ovenized oscillator is mounted on tuned, isolated platforms to minimize jitter and mechanical interference, delivering unprecedented timing precision. 

Fiber Optic Sentinel-Link Isolation

A Note on Setup:

The Sentinel System is extremely high-powered compared to other DACs. These units must be placed in a well-ventilated space and out of direct sunlight. In hotter climates, air conditioning will help extend the life of electrical components. For best results, do not stack this system. Instead, place each unit on an individual shelf or surface with plenty of clearance to the sides and above each chassis to allow airflow.
