Shunyata Research Sigma-X NR Power Cable | Reference Noise-Reducing Cord

Sale price$4,000.00

Shunyata Research Sigma-X NR is the reference noise-reducing power cable in the Sigma-X family for amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, streamers, analog sources, and other high-performance components. It combines 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors with Gen3 NR noise reduction, dual TAPc polarizers, CopperCONN connectors, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, and KPIP v2 processing.

Choose Sigma-X NR when you want reference-level power-line noise reduction across a wide range of components without stepping up to the QR model's patented QR/BB current-reserve technology.

Who is Sigma-X NR best suited for?
Amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, streamers, phono stages, and other high-performance components that benefit from Sigma-X reference noise reduction.

Sigma-X NR vs. QR
NR provides the Sigma-X Gen3 NR platform without QR's patented QR/BB current-reserve technology.

Technology
Sigma-X NR combines Shunyata Research technologies for noise reduction, electromagnetic control, conductor geometry, connector integrity, dielectric performance, and conductor conditioning. The NR model uses Gen3 NR, dual TAPc polarizers, 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, CopperCONN connectors, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, and KPIP v2 processing.

Shunyata Research TAPc technology
TAPc
Patent-pending Transverse Axial Polarizer technology couples to the electromagnetic fields surrounding conductors and is designed to reduce electromagnetic distortion. Sigma-X NR uses two TAPc polarizers.

Shunyata Research Gen3 NR technology
Gen3 NR
Gen3 NR is Shunyata's power-cable noise-reduction architecture. Sigma-X NR is specified for greater than 6 dB of noise reduction at 1 MHz.

Shunyata Research VTX-Ag conductors
VTX-Ag
VTX-Ag geometry combines a pure-silver center conductor with a concentric pure-copper outer conductor. Sigma-X NR uses this architecture in a 6-gauge configuration.

Shunyata Research CopperCONN connectors
CopperCONN
Sigma-X NR uses Shunyata CopperCONN AC and IEC connectors with carbon-fiber bodies.

Shunyata Research fluorocarbon dielectric
Fluorocarbon
Fluorocarbon dielectric material is selected for low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength, and heat resistance.

Shunyata Research KPIP v2 technology
KPIP v2
Shunyata Research's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process is applied to conductor and terminal metals. Sigma-X NR receives four days of KPIP v2 processing.
