Its model-specific design uses TAPc, PMZ, proprietary four-conductor construction, dual foil-and-braid shields, PE dielectric, gold-plated SR-USB connectors, and KPIP v2 processing.
TAPc
Patent-pending Transverse Axial Polarizer technology couples to electromagnetic fields surrounding signal conductors and is designed to reduce electromagnetic distortion. Sigma-X USB uses 35 TAPc elements.
PMZ
PMZ is Shunyata's precision production standard for tightly controlling conductor surfaces, dielectric extrusion, and shield geometry to minimize impedance variance.
KPIP v2
Shunyata Research's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process is applied to conductor and terminal metals. Sigma-X USB receives four days of KPIP v2 processing.
