Shunyata Research Sigma-X Ethernet Cable | Reference Network Audio Cable
Shunyata Research Sigma-X Ethernet is a reference network audio cable engineered for high-performance music streaming and network-connected digital systems. Its proprietary SR-6a construction combines 100% shield coverage with TAPc and dual-element CMode filtering to reduce cable-induced noise while preserving signal integrity.
Sigma-X Ethernet uses Telegartner connectors, PTFE dielectric materials, 100-ohm nominal impedance, and four days of KPIP v2 processing. Choose it for the network link between a router, switch, server, streamer, or other Ethernet-connected audio component.
Most products are ordered from the manufacturer, and lead times range from a few days to several weeks. We'll confirm your exact ship time before payment is processed. Free shipping on orders of $1,000 or more within the lower 48 states; smaller orders ship at FedEx rates. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories: please contact us for a shipping quote.
We accept a range of payment options, including major credit cards, ACH, wire transfer, and Affirm financing. Online checkout is processed securely through Shopify.

Who is Sigma-X Ethernet best suited for?
Networked audio systems using Ethernet between routers, switches, servers, streamers, and other network audio components.
Technology
Sigma-X Ethernet combines Shunyata technologies for electromagnetic control, common-mode noise reduction, impedance integrity, shielding, connector quality, and conductor conditioning. Its proprietary SR-6a construction uses 100% shield coverage, PTFE dielectric, Telegartner connectors, TAPc, dual-element CMode filtering, and KPIP v2 processing.

TAPc
Patent-pending Transverse Axial Polarizer technology couples to electromagnetic fields surrounding conductors and is designed to reduce electromagnetic distortion. Sigma-X Ethernet uses 35 TAPc elements.

CMode
CMode is Shunyata's common-mode filtering technology, designed to reduce common-mode noise without the compression effects associated with conventional filtering. Sigma-X Ethernet uses a dual-element CMode filter.

KPIP v2
Shunyata Research's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process is applied to conductor and terminal metals. Sigma-X Ethernet receives four days of KPIP v2 processing.
SR-6a Construction
Sigma-X Ethernet uses Shunyata's proprietary SR-6a cable construction with 100% shield coverage, PTFE dielectric, Telegartner connectors, and a specified characteristic impedance of 100 +/-15 ohms.
