Shunyata Research Sigma-X Tri-Wire Speaker Cable | Reference Tri-Wire Cable

Sale price$15,700.00

Shunyata Research Sigma-X Tri-Wire Speaker Cable is the Sigma-X configuration for loudspeakers requiring three separate terminal connections per channel. It uses 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, dual TAPc modules, dual HARP 20 modules, and four days of KPIP v2 processing, with gold/copper fixed or STIS v3 terminal options.

Choose the Tri-Wire version only for loudspeakers whose binding-post arrangement calls for three-way wiring. For two-way bi-wire or conventional single-wire layouts, choose the matching Sigma-X configuration.

Who is Sigma-X Tri-Wire best suited for?
Loudspeakers specifically designed with three separate binding-post sections per channel.

Tri-Wire vs. Bi-Wire
Choose the cable configuration that matches the loudspeaker's actual terminal architecture. Tri-Wire is not an upgrade for a two-way bi-wire speaker.

Technology
Sigma-X Tri-Wire uses the Sigma-X speaker platform with Shunyata technologies for conductor geometry, electromagnetic control, audio-frequency current resonance control, dielectric performance, termination flexibility, and conductor conditioning. It uses 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, dual TAPc modules, dual HARP 20 modules, fluorocarbon dielectric materials, and KPIP v2 processing.

Shunyata Research TAPc technology
TAPc
Patent-pending Transverse Axial Polarizer technology couples to electromagnetic fields surrounding conductors and is designed to reduce electromagnetic distortion. Sigma-X Tri-Wire uses dual TAPc modules with 100 elements.

Shunyata Research HARP technology
HARP
HARP addresses current drift and audio-frequency current resonances that can occur in speaker cables. Sigma-X Tri-Wire uses dual HARP 20 modules.

Shunyata Research VTX-Ag conductors
VTX-Ag
VTX-Ag conductors combine a pure-silver center core with an outer concentric ring of pure copper. Sigma-X Tri-Wire uses this geometry in a 6-gauge configuration.

Shunyata Research fluorocarbon dielectric
Fluorocarbon
Fluorocarbon dielectrics offer very low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength, and strong heat resistance.

Shunyata Research KPIP v2 technology
KPIP v2
Shunyata Research's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process is applied to conductor and terminal metals. Sigma-X Tri-Wire receives four days of KPIP v2 processing.

Shunyata Research STIS v3 terminals
STIS v3
STIS v3 is Shunyata's interchangeable terminal system using solid-copper terminals. Sigma-X Tri-Wire is available with STIS v3 or fixed gold/copper terminal options, depending on configuration.

Choice Audio guidance
Tri-wire configurations are system-specific. We recommend confirming the speaker model and desired amplifier connection before ordering.
