REL S-510 Subwoofer
A medium sized chassis with serious power, the S/510 takes REL’s reference level sound and converts it to deliver beautiful all around performance for those with less space or with slightly less robust speakers. The S/510 has one active 10-inch driver and one passive 12-inch radiator.

When looking at their previous generation, REL found a way to upgrade nearly every aspect of their S series. Looking for stronger and deeper bass, REL turned to a massive 500 Watt “NextGen3” amplifier, then applied filters, films, and upgraded the modularity of the sub.
The active woofer of the S/510 has now been backed up with a film of pure carbon fiber, in order to strengthen the cone and eliminate bass reversion. These upgrades were necessary due to the increased amplifier power and the thinness of the S/510’s cone.
The passive radiator on the bottom of the S/510 now has a longer throw and contains special suspensions that allow it to remain particularly stiff while active. This new radiator system also allows the S/510 to “act like a sealed box compact 12” design at low volumes and a high output 14” design at its limit”.
A 20% increase in power means large power reservoirs and stronger bass extension while also delicately opening up the mid-range and highs in your system. The extra power also greatly helps these subs in a home theatre use case.
Taking a reference level feature and bringing it to the S series, REL has now allowed for the three-fold stacking of subs in this series, so you can feel the bass and its incredible 3-dimensional impact.
